Dance With Courage 2025 – Virtual Fundraiser

We’re thrilled to announce that Dance Arts Centre is once again teaming up with True Friends for our 19th Annual Dance with Courage fundraiser from November 8-19, 2025! Over the years, this event has raised more than $385,000 to support True Friends, a nonprofit organization that provides life-changing experiences for children and adults with disabilities.

True Friends’ incredible programs include camp, respite, therapy and adaptive riding, retreats, travel, and team building—helping participants build confidence, independence, and lifelong friendships. We’re passionate about making a difference in our community, and we’re proud to be part of such an impactful cause. We hope you’ll join us in this important effort!
 

This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 to make a lasting impact for the individuals True Friends serves.

How to Get Involved

 

1. Register to Fundraise Each dancer can participate by setting up a personalized fundraising page to share with family and friends. Here’s how:

 

●Visit https://dancewithcourage.org/

●Click “Register”

●Choose your competition team and enter your dancer’s information.

●Log in or create an account to complete the registration.

●Customize your page with a personal message to supporters! If you have questions about registering, contact Emma Erickson at emmae@truefriends.org.

2. Registration Period

• Start Date: November 8th

• End Date: November 19th

Donations will still be accepted after November 19th, but they will not count towards team competitions, raffle tickets, or individual prizes.

Team Competition & Prizes
While dancers fundraise individually, team totals (including online and piggy bank contributions) will determine team prizes. To ensure fairness, team totals are averaged by the number of dancers on each team.

●    1st Place: Private Movie Screening
●    2nd Place: Team Pizza Party
●    3rd Place: Cupcake Social

Piggy Banks
Each competition team has a personalized piggy bank displayed at the studio. Bring cash and coins from November 8-19th to add to your team’s piggy bank! Note: piggy bank funds will count towards team totals but not individual fundraising totals.

Raffle for Private Dance Lessons
Every $10 raised earns dancers an entry to win a private dance lesson with a DAC instructor.
Raffle Details:
●    Deadline: Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
●    Winners announced on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
●    Each dancer can win a maximum of one private lesson. If chosen for a second, it will be redrawn.

Sponsorship Opportunities

●    Gold Sponsor - $750
●    Silver Sponsor - $500
●    Bronze Sponsor - $250
●    Challenge Sponsor - Custom donation

Matching Gifts from Employers
Many employers offer matching gifts. If yours does, follow these steps:
●    Check the box “This donation can be matched” during online checkout.
●    Enter your employer’s information and complete your donation.
●    Submit your donation receipt and matching paperwork to your employer.
●    For assistance, reach out to emmae@truefriends.org.
Note: There may be a short delay in matching gifts appearing on your dancer’s fundraising page.
